Sherry was the Toastmaster of the day. She started with her thought ‘stay healthy’,  she had  problem with her right hip and could recovered from doctors treatment. But after she and her family joined a healthy club, she feels herself energetic everyday and her body part  problem disappeared. She encourage everybody follow her steps. As a toastmaster, she controlled time pretty well as she expected to achieve and made good transaction from program to program

Lillian gave her thought of the day. She was substitute receptionist in her company recently. Every morning, delivery man come to her with big smile and hand her mails. One day, the man came to her without any mail in hand. He told her he just wanted to come and tell her there was no mail today ! A small action can make you feel comfortable for a whole day !

Stan taught us a new word “Raucous”. It means “Harsh, Rough sound or disorderly’

Robin was Funny Bone Master, She told us a quick funny story. A father notices his son not happy one day. He asked ‘ What’s wrong with you?’.  Son said he lost his dog. Dady told his son they can put an advertise on local newspaper. But son replied ‘Dog can not read newspaper’ !

Connie delivered her icebreaker speech titled ‘Introduce myself’. She opened with what she will tell us about herself. (1) her education (2) working experience (3) sth related to work.

She obtained her both degrees from US universities , a bachelor degree in accounting and a master degree in library information science. She worked a couple of years as an accountant after she earned bachelor. And then she became full time mom for her daughter. She volunteers her time in her community and elementary school. She likes reading, sport and sing songs. Right now, she is looking for an opportunity in library information.

Sudhin also delivered his icebreaker speech titled ‘Introduce my home state’. He said his home state is in south part of India and with 31 million population, more female than male. It is world top 10 tourist destination. People there lead a peaceful life, they are open to outside world.  ….

Elena was the 3rd speaker. Who was real author of book ‘Quiet Don’ ? The controversy about who wrote "The Quiet Don", the best realistic novel about the Russian revolution, winner of the 1965 Nobel prize in literature, began as soon as the the first (out of four) part was published in 1928. Mikhail Sholokhov, the book's author was born in 1905 and his education was over in 1918 when the civil war reached the Don area. Sholokhov was still a teenager when the period described in "The Quiet Don" was over and only 22 when it's first part was competed, yet the book depicts scenes of World War I, everyday life of Don's Cossacks, mature depiction of love and family life. While reading it one can't help the feeling of two completely different people writing it: one - talented writer, Don Cossack, and White officer loyal to the old Russia and the other, communist without minimal creative abilities. All books Sholokhov wrote after the "Quiet Don" were mediocre at best. Even his close friends wandered how this poorly educated youth could create this great epic. In Russia debates about who really wrote the "Quiet Don" continue till now.

Bing was the table topic master. (1) You are a only person told by a superpower, what are you going to do? (Josh answered); (2) What is the most important advice are you going to give to your child (Cindy answered); (3) what is your advice to your child’s career (Jin); (4) What kind of connection do you still keep with your origin ? (Joby); (5) What are you going to do after retiring  with good healthy and financially security? (Eric)

At the end of table topic, Bing told us his grandpa just passed away in the age of 94. He showed us some memorable pictures taken in 2002 when his family visited his grandpa in Indonesia.
