Kusudama
Aaron Walden

I based this kusudama design on the waterbomb and the water lily.

Materials needed:
7 identical squares of paper
Glue
Yarn

Make a traditional waterbomb, from one square of paper.

When waterbomb is completed, make a tassel, by looping yarn several times, and making a knot near one end.  Glue this under one flap, so that the tassel hangs from one corner of waterbomb.  Then make a single loop of yarn, and glue it under the flap at the opposite corner of the opposite side, so that when the glue dries, it will hang at a diamond angle.

Make six water lilies.

Glue one water lily to each of the six sides of the waterbomb, and when the glue is dry, hang it by the single loop.
