C86 style guitar janglings are very much in fashion at the moment, and it's a sound that the Relationships are well practised in. At times the lyrics have a simplicty that tends towards the obvious, but it is a simplicty that works well within the context of the band's classic uncomplicated pop, not least on the excellent stand out track The Godfathers. |
