The Relationships

Reviews

Trend (CD) Twee Kitten
The Relationships are built around the core of mid Eighties guitar poppers Here Comes Everybody, which probably explains why such pop notables as Amelia Fletcher and Andy Bell have lent a hand in the making of their debut album. C86 style guitar janglings are very much in fashion at the moment, and it's a sound that the Relationships are well practised in. At times the lyrics have a simplicty that tends towards the obvious, but it is a simplicty that works well within the context of the band's classic uncomplicated pop, not least on the excellent stand out track The Godfathers.
