Lesson 15 - Major-Major Seventh Chords
The highlighted chord in the image below is an example of a Major-Major seventh (MM7) chord. This chord is a major triad with a major seventh on top. Adding a major seventh to the top of a major triad serves to make the major triad a little less forceful. The sound of this seventh chord is one of daintiness and relaxation.

Root-third interval: Major 3rd
Root-seventh interval: Major 7th
