Mark II: The Academic Fragment
Mark S. Muldoon, Ph.D., received his doctorate in philosophy
from the Higher Institute of Philosophy
at the Catholic University of Louvain in Leuven, Belgium, in 1990.
He has taught at Algoma University College in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and Brock University in St.Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Before attaining his qualifications as a philosopher, he worked
in several parts of Canada as a forester after a receiving a degree in Forestry from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
He maintains a vital interest in protecting
the integrity of the environment
by participating in local but vital issues in the community in which he resides.Mark has been published in such periodicals as The Review of Metaphysics, International Philosophical Quarterly, The American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly, etc. In addition to his philosophical and environmental interests, he has written religiously significant articles in Worship, The Grail: An Ecumenical Journal Of Theological Thought and The Way: Review Of Contemporary Christian Spirituality. Such articles attest to his belief that solutions to many of the travails and miseries that plague our humanity cannot be found by the use of rational and technical means alone. Hardly conservative, Mark, at heart, is Socratic in his method and equally generous with his ignorance about finding solutions to the dilemmas of our era.
