** the course will last for 4 weeks, all day, including seminar. Each student will have his or her own bench and there will be 6 groups of 2 students each.
** before each experiment, each student should prepare a pre-lab containing objective, procedure, and background information about the lab. The TAs can answer any other questions you may have. Your final mark will depend on their assessment of your lab technique and the closing colloquium (oral exam).
** the main body of the pre-lab should include the following:  Name of the experiment (underlined), name of the experiments and the group, semester number, course, TAs, and date of lab.
** the theoretical aspect of the final lab report can be no longer than 1/2 page. The practical aspect should include all experimental data. For other questions regarding length and obscurities in the lab manual, ask the TA. The lab reports will be handed in to and marked by Dr. Schiltz and will be given back to the student.
** if a report has obviously been copied from another, both reports will be awarded a mark of 5 (F) and will not be corrected any further.
** the last lab report is due 2 weeks after the last lab day. Every lab must be handed in as a pre-requisite of the colloquium, which can be held with Dr. Schiltz no later than the end of the following semester.
