Wars Statistics Home The wars table Bibliography

Welcome to my wars statistics section: the Price of war. This section features a database of wars and casualties

Another view on killing can't ignore one of the greatest killers in the history: war.

You can view all the wars in one wars table.

Why did I do these pages? Well, I'm not a militant, I'm really not. However I do like to learn about the wars. But I'm for learning about the wars of the past, not for inflaming the wars of the present and preparing those of the future.

I also like numbers and statistics, so here is where those two sides of me meet. A great database of wars statistic. I always wanted to know how many people died from each country in a certain loss, and how many fell each day.

Does this site promote war? Not at all. I don't believe that hiding the history will do any good. The only way to appreciate the peace is by learning the great cost of the war. Looking at the numbers here, and just imagining the millions of faces and the lives that were torn apart should do something to every man.

I can't turn the wheel back, and I believe that hiding the history will only make us repeat it. So I built this database.

So far the database contains 92,187,871 recorded fatal casualties in 44 wars.
