A small, barren, uninhabited planet on the periphery of the star cluster Saudi Asteroidia named Cleo has vanished. Just like that, poof. No trace, no leads, no ideas from anyone except for the aloof, mysterious Colonel Abullah Abdullah, a Class Seven Arab Android. Speaking on behalf of his employer the Sheik Ali Ali Ooze (uncertain spelling here), the Colonel hires the Terran detective, Ruby Tuesday to corner the people who he thinks are behind the caper, a civilization made entirely of detectives of the conceptual planet of Dong-A-Long. Only Ruby has yet to discover the true darkness behind this planet and its inhabitants...
Short but sassy, brief but billowing are adjectives that best fit this little number. Tired of the Green Menace? introduces Ruby, the Galactic Gumshoe, for the first time, much rougher and ruthless than her latest, smoothed-out personality. One major difference between this and the other Ruby adventures is that the heroine has a much broader profanity tolerance. Anyone who is extremely sensitive to bad language has the right to skip this adventure, since it is not part of the actual series.
Near the end of Tired of the Green Menace?, Ruby realizes that although she has unintentionally freed the planet Dong-A-Long, she is fated to have it follow her the rest of her days. She hints that this is only the beginning of the adventures of Ruby Tuesday, but from there, the story abruptly ends. Ruby Tuesday’s adventures from that point on are open, with no nice tying up of loose ends. For people that can handle unconcluded endings, this is nothing, but for those who can’t...this may not be an ideal story to listen to.
