Well, it's finally happened. All these years, ZBS has been teaching us wisdom and wit, but always indirectly, subtly weaving it in with the story being told. Now they've stepped beyond that guideline and released a whole new creation featuring that wise-beyond-her-years child from the Jack Flanders Series, Little Frieda. Through her eyes, she tells the listener her people's view of life, and puts in views of her own, kindly advising and gently directing the listener as she speaks.
Little Frieda's Life Lessons is something different for ZBS. Though many other people have created "life lessons", ZBS has succeeded in making Little Frieda's words unique and convincing. I didn't feel like I was being fed some meaningless words and phrases while I was listening to this CD. I felt like it was just another story; it was just being told a different way. There is also some beautiful, entrancing music by Tim Clark during and after the short, but filling, lessons. If you like the Jack Flanders Series, and want to know how Jack's faithful friend sees the world, you should give this CD a listen.
