Homer Duckencover is a young man who has always felt like an outsider, isolated from the rest of the world. He wishes to live in a time when life was simpler. One night, alone in the middle of nowhere, he is encountered by an old friend named Raisinette Boxer, who takes him to a mysterious nightclub where everyone is an outcast from society but everyone inside the lounge is for everybody else. Though nervous at first, Homer quickly adjusts to life in The Insiders’ Lounge, but unbeknownst to him, there are other forces plotting to take him back to where he came from...
The Insiders’ Lounge is short, but filling. It contains a lot of original music and themes that many people can probably relate to. Anyone who’s felt like an outsider at least once in their lives will enjoy this little adventure, one of the rarities in ZBS because it was not written by Mr. Fulton, but rather by Leslie Fuller, who plays Raisinette. But perhaps the best thing about The Insiders’ Lounge is that the concept of not being accepted is greeted with a sense of humor, like nearly all of the topics in ZBS adventures. It’s really worth a listen.
